Leaving my pets in the hands of a pet sitter is not an easy thing to do. Not just anyone meets the requirements. It takes an extremely mature, responsible individual with a “way” with animals, to be able to handle their basic needs, keep them happy, exercised (when appropriate) and carefully watched for any possible unforeseen problems that might occur. In addition, it means giving access to my home and all that is within. It’s not easy and requires a special person.

That being said, I feel totally comfortable leaving Deb Gallo in charge! I’ve known Deb, for years as a talented, and resourceful assistant at the Croton Animal Hospital. She has also cared for my Yellow Lab, Harry and my cats, Lola and Jack with ease. With Deb in charge, I know they are in the best of hands, and I’m always able to leave knowing that they will receive the best care possible.

As a new pet owner, I wasn't sure what to look for in a pet sitter so I interviewed several different ones. Not only was Furry People Pet Sitting competitvely priced, they were professional, responsive and very knowledgeable. The moment I met Debra Gallo, I knew she was the sitter for Xeena, my then 4-month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Deb helped get her house trained and give us her paw on command! A week after bringing home Bella, our second Cav, she developed a severe case of pneumonia, needing a lot of medication and great care which FPPS was extremely reliable with helping me administer. We were lucky Deb has such a solid medical background as a vet assistant. Now, Bella is in perfect puppy form. No sooner did that one recover did Xeena require knee surgery! Again, I trusted Deb, Shannon and Evelyn to help me nurse her back to health. Xeena can run around better than ever except when she just wants to lounge on the couch. Over the last year, Deb and her team have become a part of the family. They're always accommodating and communicative - love the daily report cards! My husband and I trust them in our home and with our "canine kids" And besides, Xeena and Bella cannot live without them.

Furry People Pet Sitting has been a lifesaver for our family. Our cats adore and trust Debra, and we arrive home from trips to relaxed and happy pets. Debra was also able to give our diabetic cat the insulin injections he needed, which was peace of mind for us. Debra has cared for our cats for several years now, and we find her to be extremely reliable, caring and knowledgeable. She's really part of the family!

We have been in the area since 2002 and have used a variety of pet walking and over night services. In general we were not satisfied, mostly because we were not confident in the level of service or commitment. Going on vacation was stressful because of the concern we had leaving our pets behind under those circumstances. About two years ago we were referred to Furry People Pet Sitting and from the first interview we knew we were dealing with professionals. We utilize pet walking and overnight services. Furry People is completely reliable, trustworthy and they genuinely care for our pets (3 dogs and a bird) who are always delighted to see them. Even the bird chirps loudly when they come. We also have comfort knowing our house is being occupied while we are away. An added plus is not having to worry about incidentals like mail, newspapers and plants. We highly recommend them.

More than simply pleased... I have "peace of mind" when away, that given my multiple pet household (some with special needs and challenges), is no easy task. Having already known Debra to be a very capable and caring veterinary assistant (who worked at my vet's office) and had cared for my pets over the years in that capacity, I was thrilled to learn that she had started a pet sitting and services business. I can honestly say, I have never been more comfortable leaving my pets in someone else's care than I have been with Debra... Debra, We had a wonderful trip and thanks to Evelyn no worries about the dogs. Everything really worked out well. As you know I was worried. But really did have nothing to worry about. Evelyn bonded quickly with Lola and Molly and they really did take to her. They are very loving and affectionate dogs and Evelyn had no problem giving them all the love they needed. I appreciate the report Evelyn left us on the dogs. It helped me to understand their behavior while we were away. Lola and Molly are well known around the neighborhood. So when Evelyn walked them many of the neighbors stopped to introduce themselves. Now that we are back and out with dogs the neighbors have stopped us to tell us how nice Evelyn was and how good she was with the dogs. I hear the girls were better behaved with Evelyn then they are with us. (I believe that!) Your service has been a blessing for us. We now know we can go away and our dogs are in good hands. We will absolutely use your service again and request that it's Evelyn who is assigned to us. Thank you for answering all of my questions and understanding why I was nervous. You were right, the dogs did fine. Evelyn was the perfect fit for them. Please let her know how much we appreciate the care she gave our dogs.
